Knot identification

Hi, anyone know what type of knot this is so I can look up how to tie it?

its not a dropper loop used on most paternoster rigs that has just been cut.

Spider Knot

As above they are dropper loops which have been cut. However it does not help if you want to snell your hooks.

The trick is to understand even when the line is cut the knot does not change so you need to do some trial an error using a set of hooks already snelled and separate line.

I use the spider knot. Place the two lines together, create the loop, wrap the line around the loop (depending on line thickness you may only get 1 or two wraps) and then pass both the lines including hooks through the loop.

Hope that helps.
