Last minute deckie for Sunday morning EARLY?
Submitted by Goodz on Sat, 2011-05-21 21:13
Last call for a fish early tomorrow out from Point Peron, starting on the FFB and maybe heading out further. Must be back by lunch.
Please no one that gets sea sick and must have half a clue about fishing :) PM me asap!
Ben.

Would love to get some boating experience though, wanting to get a boat soon so the more the experience the better?

depends on the skipper
as a deckie on my boat you will share fuel cost and bait if we use it,some will require you too help with cleaning of the boat but not me as i enjoy this at end of day with beer in hand. Most will be happy if your not sea sick as well
There are two types of people ,do'ers and watchers
Right now the do'ers are the doing it
And the watchers are watching us do it

Main thing for me is a deckie
Main thing for me is a deckie who can fish. Unfortunately, this regularly means I get outfished, but also means you learn as well. A deckie who brings beers always gets invite back!

Thanks to Auslobster for
Thanks to Auslobster for joining me on Sunday after my planned deckie bailed on sat night! Wouldn't have been able to go without him (wifes rules).
Was a nice morning out even if nothing big was landed! Those skippy were fun tho! good to meet you mate!
Deviouskim being a deckie for me just involves coming for a fish really! I'm not worried about fuel money or cleaning the boat (unless they insist),just enjoy the company. Do expect someone to hold the rope as I put the boat in and out tho... Not too much ask really!
Sounds like most people expect a share of the fuel bill and cleaning the boat etc but each to their own.

Yeah Goodz, anything inside
Yeah Goodz, anything inside the 3 mile is a freebie, anything outside the 3 mile gets a bit heavy on the pocket, so usually do the fuel split thing then.
As I recall Goodz, you were one of those deckies who outfished me.......will have to repay the favour one day....almost called you up Sat nite, but had the young blokes footy Sunday morning.

Yeah I guess it depends on
Yeah I guess it depends on what it's actually costing ya to head out. Bigger boats certainly use more fuel. I'm yet to use more than 30 liters for a full day on the water!
Not sure if caught many more than you mate ;) youre welcome to come outfish me anytime! Not sure if I could give you as fun of a day as you gave me tho!
