Ledge Point - anyone stayed there

Has anyone stayed at Ledge Point Holiday Village?  What's it like?  What's the ramp like and importantly what's the fishing like?  Is there anywhere protected if the wind gets up?

The holiday park is great.

There is no ramp that I'm aware of. Beach launching is all I've seen.

Please, somebody correct me if I'm wrong.

caravan park is great, but it's a beach launch and not much protection once the SW'er kicks in

thanks guys.  thought that about the sw'er.  bummer no ramp, i don't think my 4wd skills r up to launching my new bigger heavier boat on sand.  the tinnie would have been fine.  lancelin has good facilities doesn't it?  wht would that be less than 1hr drive?

Lano is only 20 or so min

Lano is only 20 or so min from ledge but still a beach launch. It is much better protected by the outer reef and island but if the swell is up the surge runs up the beach pretty badly. Certainly better than Ledge but no Two Rocks. We generally launch at Lano and run north for macks or south for dhus

Yeah id say keep an eye on

Yeah id say keep an eye on scoupon and wait for some jurien vouchers. Only a 2hr drive from the center of the northern suburbs and a great ramp in the marina so very protected and a fish cleaning station too. Also the bay at jurien is fairly sheltered from the swell, wind still chops it up tho when its windy.
