an absolute true fish of a lifetime, and congrats to the team, and also egfc, that has put in tens thousands of hours to finally nail this unbelievable achievement.

Also, to the hoardes of uneducated, lefty, moronic, retarded, unknowingly stupid, but specifically the people that have below zero idea of what this fish actually means to a whole community, town, and it’s economy, SHUT THE FUCK UP!!!!

I know now it means zero to bring this up on a fishing forum, but FFS, we all need to start playing these fucktards at their own game, and start slaying them down on any social media where they raise their ugly fascist heads.

i dont know where to start

Wed, 2018-01-03 17:57

i dont know where to start when you read those comments on facebook, "should still be alive"   "why kill it"   "stoking his ego"

all of this shit is written on fishing pages for fuck sake.

the same fishos who kill everything they look at for a feed while eddie releases 99% of his marlin with tags for study.....

keep one fish that is the wholly grail of fish and the know it all keyboard greenies come a running

i kinda think this post didnt get as many comments as it should, maybe thats a sign of what people think

Ive been having a ball toying

Wed, 2018-01-03 18:30

Ive been having a ball toying with tree huggers last few days on fb.
Its certainly a fish that's the lifetime goal of anyone that's into bill fishing.
More sustainable than keeping a 30kg bass grouper or 10kg red that's for sure.

Wed, 2018-01-03 20:08

The point is there are hundreds of misguided comments, how do you propose to let them all know? So if they can't find out and properly inform themselves then they are in my book an idiot. But the media have a lot to answer for as they knowingly inflame but omitting important facts on the story. They do it all the time remember the big bass grouper story last year...same thing.

Cheers dale good read. Its such a shame that the fb warriors have to get on and drop a turd on a once in a lifetime experience that has not only helped out a business but a whole town and maybe even the state in some way, by getting word out that hey we in wa have an awsome fishery and fish like this are proof of that.  Congrats to all involved!

Great article and awsome fish for peak, the angler, and Exmouth.  Don't know the guy from a bar of soap but from what I have read about Eddy and heard  it is that he is a hard worker and dedicated to his craft. He should be getting applauded. Those comments on that article scare me as a recreational fisherman.

Sat, 2018-01-06 06:06

You beat me to it Dale i just read that and was about to post it here....

I am not on Facey but those of you that are if you could perhaps post that link and hopefully a few of the dickheads out there ear bashing these fellas might start to understand the benefit of landing fish like this....

If nothing else it shows the tiny percentage of Marlin kept by rec fishos and explains somewhat the stupidity behind allowing stripes to be kept and blue and blacks being thrown back ( mostly cactus after being on a long line for hours )....

I'm not a bill fisho per se but it would fuck me off no end knowing all those potential fish are left for dead if they were my fish of choice ( i think i've made sense there )

Unfortunately, you can't fix stupid, and that is exactly what these people are. They wouldnt survive if they didn't have a supermarket down the road. Can't see past the next sob story PETA video. It's a result of no real world experience.
