Long Weekend Plans

Righto crew.
Who's going what and where this weekend?
I imagine there's a few of you heading up for the Kalbarri Classic. Hopefully the pelagics play the game for you.
Hoping for an island overnighter myself. Location depending on the low up north and the prevailing wind strength and direction.

Undecided at this stage. A trip down to exmouth is on the cards at this stage though... tides are awesome for some GT and jigging action.
All depends on this low like you said John, we'll pretty much be going wherever the weather looks best.. might even see you in Onslow.

i'm with Brad
Have watched the forecast progressively go bad, predicting rain rain and more rain! Otherwise was planning on going camping down at 14 mile after cricket, but I think everythings going to be a washout if that low stays tracking the way it is.

Was going to take the new boat
On its Maiden voyage (with me at helm) into the Dampier islands, perhaps stay overnight on a beach, and get either blown away or drowned by the tropical low/cyclone!!
Shit hey!

Couple
Well got out for a couple of hours before the strengthening easterly scared me back in. Better to run and live to fight another day.
Got a few nice queenies, goldspot trevors and a couple of what I think were black trevally on a red/white yozuri hydro pencil. Unfortunately didn't get a pic as I was having to much fun and then bang, the bite shut down.

That would be unusual to get them in Onslow. Did they look like this?

No
No wasn't one of those Jay. I should have taken a pic. They were quite elongated, similar head and shoulder shape to an amberjack. Light charcoal colour, with distinctive black tail scutes and fins. One of them had a white tip on its dorsal fin.
Just found them on the web, nothing exotic, just big eye trevally. Never caught them before though, so that's a bonus.
They were very agro!
John
PS. All still swimming bluebagger.

Just a shame...
...we didn't know how to count and missed the boat limit! And after reading about Reefmonkey's spaniard it's a bit of a bugger that the steering issues stopped us from doing more trolling...
