but got told you cant do it any more just like any other stupid rule cant stop it but you cant do it with out risking getting in the poo (biggest danger is upsetting the maori bloke next door with the stink)
Being a bird keep more specificly a finch breeder myself we use maggots to feed to our finches as a livefood along with termites and mealworms so I atleast know a good 20 breeders with a good 2-3 fly boxes running come spring thru to bout April so therefore we'd all be doing the illegal thing personally have never heard that u can no longer breed them. Ps maggots I breed are the bushfly so the maggots are to small and fiddly to put on a hook so sorry can't supply u some to start a colony
After you've had them on pollard to clean them out make sure the container you put them in before refrigerating them has a good seal otherwise the missus is going to murder you if she finds Jack McTaggarts crawling round in the fridge

I'm going to guess that
I'm going to guess that section 4 of the Fly Eradication Regulations are what you're referring to;
"owner or occupier of any land or premises shall not place,
throw or leave, or permit or cause to be placed, thrown or left,
on the land or premises any waste food, manure, refuse,
garbage, waste matter or other matter whatsoever, which is
likely to attract or be a breeding place for flies, unless that waste
food, manure, refuse, garbage, waste matter or other matter is
covered, protected, treated or dealt with in such a manner as to
effectively prevent it attracting or being a breeding place for
flies."
