Perth boat shows were held
Perth boat shows were held previously at the convention centre, attended the last on it was a poor show so they had been cancelled up to now that they have claimed the Mandurah show. I went yesterday wasn't to bad a lot more variety than previously in Perth.

Boat show bargins
To those who have been to the boat show can you tell me if there are any bargins in regards to flares life jackets epirbs and stuff like that. All mine are coming up to the expiry date soon and I'm looking at replacing a lot of gear.

Well that's disappointing
That's not very good, at the Mandurah show you could pick up some good bargains at the stands.
I know that I've said it before, however I'll say it again it never ceases to amaze me how the venue charges people to go in, and also charges the people displaying their products and trying to sell their products.
Talk about making a killing.

its all about the dollar
its all about the dollar these days. my understanding is its quite expencive for the exhibitors to show their products in that place.
bit dissapointing tho , now we live in mandurah they move the show .

Was speaking to a guy from the Mandurah club and he said the BIA dumped them in favour of Elizabeth Quay and the Convention Centre. He was royally pissed about it since they did all the work to get it established. Personally I thought the Mandurah boat shows were the best and I doubt I would go to a Perth based one again. I'm doubtful this new venue will work and that really is a pity because getting it back to Mandurah will be a big ask

Yep would head up to the Mandurah show every now and then from Bunno , but doubt if i would trave all the way to the big smoke to be ripped off. In saying that the Bunbury boat show has been ok the past few years.

After going for a look today
After going for a look today I reckon the Mandurah venue wins hands down. Everything was in the one area in Mandurah.
In Perth there's a bit here, a bit over there, a few boats around the corner .............. Went to the Mandurah boat show religiously, but probably won't bother with Perth again unless I'm specifically after something.

Other way
To be honest I feel a bit the other way.
Setup is so much better in the one pavillion rather than bits and pieces everywhere.
Big boats at the quay is a bit of an issue though due to the seperation from the convention centre.
Parking options are so much better. Wont suffer due to the weather either.

Inside venue is certainly the
Inside venue is certainly the best by far for exhibitors and visitors, was a great show, Hobie stand was very impressive and look forward to seeing more themed and creative displays from other companies in the future.
The show didnt start in Mandurah it has been all over the place, this show was the best venue and show for some time. IMO
Ease of access of the train and straight into the convention centre is awesome also. No parking hassles. Outdoor area in Lizzy quay was also pretty cool.

Mandurah Boat Show...on again
In our local paper The Mandurah Mail on page 35 there is a third of a page add advertising that the Mandurah Boat Show will be on again on Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th of February 2018.
The venue will be the same, being Mandurah Offshore Fishing and Sailing Club.
If you can't get a bargain at one show try another, hopefully the weather will be better in February.
