Markers at the Mouth
Yeah theres some green markers just outside the mouth. As On the drift says, channel has been silted up. Red marker near the Mary streeet ramp too. Ive been taking heed & going around them as required but have noticed several skippers ignoring them & taking short cuts.

Notice to mariners
There is a "notice to mariners" in the local rag detailing why the extra bouys are in place and what action you should take when entering or leaving the estuary via the mouth. Sorry I can't lay my hands on a copy or I'ld put up what it says.
Basically it's about diverting vessels around some sand banks that have formed at the mouth of the estuary and just inside the mouth and are considered a danger to vessels.
