Marron season 2012

Hey everyone, With marron season having opened on the weekend i was just wondering how everyone has gone so far? Got a few decent ones myself but no pictures unfortunately, many good sized ones around for everyone else ? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks

We went out for three hours
We went out for three hours on Sunday and got 15 ranging between 90-100mm.

Decent effort there freshie! he's a good sized marron. shame there was only 2, but it doesnt take long to get a one person feed when they're that size

Got 12 on sunday 90mm to
Got 12 on sunday 90mm to 125mm. Didnt see any small ones, which is a worry for the future, maybe to much salt etc has stopped them from breeding

Yeah nice, well done guys. I went camping/marroning over the weekend, got 9 size ones all up. Nothing big, all just size, but we seen a fair few small ones.. Also caught a large long-neck turtle in a drop net which is definately not good for the marron in that area.

mate went to collie early this week for few days. saw and landed a lot of big marron including one just short of 200mm.

200mm! thats a monster! thinking i'll have a go out that way before the seasons over, probably been hammered though so you'd be lucky to get a decent feed out there now
