Massive ray Sunday 3/3/2012

Hey guys just wanted to post a massive ray caught at Woodmans point Saturday night took my bait out maybe 50 meters whole mullet on drift left it out hooked up 8.30pm 2 hours and 4 people fighting it on a saltist big game brought this monster to the beach and safely returned it will post pics up later.

yeah i know lol never seen asians get so exited lol. like my fav gear like a 12 year old surf rod and saltist big game 30 blue with 600 meters braid and 100 meters on top mono 2 10/0 hooks on a 3 way 400 lb steel trance and a whole mullet.

I don't get how it took 4 people & two hours to land on that sort of gear. Ealzee, Scott99 & myself have landed plenty of bigger rays on standard beach gear running 30lb line & usually takes less than 30mins to get them to land. Congratulations though.

yea rito you obviously dont know me well. just for the one fact of my using stingrays for bait and chum you automaticaly think i dont have no respect for the ocean mate thats pretty low. and there was another post on here about using stingrays for bait for sharks if im not mistaken, so im not the only one who does it or is thinking about exsperementing about it.

i think talking about using an old breeder for nothing but burley is pretty shit. i think alot of people would agree with me there. totally different to a herring mate. times taken to first breeding cycles, likely age, number of stock completely changes the fish you should take for bait. no i dont know you well but i read what you wrote and the attitudes you put out when making a comment like that dont really paint a pretty picture of shark fishos. i fish for shark too but i dont agree with your position.
