Meekatharra - Urgent!
Is anyone near to Meekatharra right now? Apparently the father in law has just dumped his boat on the side of the road 120km north of Meekatharra after blowing out both trailer tyres on the way down from up north, leaving all my bro in laws fishing and dive gear in the boat. If anyone is within driving distance a reward would be offered and mannnnny thanks for the return of the gear, some of it is very sentimental. I presume the boat might have even been emptied already by someone driving by but if anyone hears of some of the gear, the old boat rod is the most imporant thing, being given to my bro by his late grand father. Was over 6k worth of gear in there.... not a happy family situation right now. I think the father in law in in meekatharra tonight and may go back in the morning but doubt there will be anything left by then.
I know it's a long shot that anyone would be near there, but thought I'd try.
Thanks!

Yeh feel bad for my bro in law, thats all his gear that he has.. just imagine losing ALL your fishing and dive gear in one go cos someone just left it somewhere...
I dont believe it would be insured either, not since the boat was just left somewhere.

spose you could ring a taxi,
spose you could ring a taxi, or even the Meeka cops, they're a pretty good bunch,
maybe they could go out and rescue the gear.

ring the cops!!!
And be prepared to buy pizza. I'm sure they would help out, and preventing a theft that is likely to happen is technically down their alley too.

5 ... so something like this? Please prepare to be pissed on even if you ask for help politely?
The guy is asking for help, not an i-told-you-so-session. It might be nicer to respond with something helpful or some sympathy.

Looks like it made it back
Looks like it made it back down safely after all! Sounds like a bit of unclear stories being told. Apparently the boat was dragged off the road down the entrance to a station and hidden behind some trees before being picked up in the morning with some new tyres. But the brother in law wasn't told all that on the first phone call.
Looks like many good fishing times ahead! Thanks anyway guys!
