Hey everyone,
Im thinking of going to down the North Mole to have a go for some bonito on Saturday morning. Can anyone tell me if there is many around and if so what are the best methods of catching these guys?
Cheers in advance

They've been there for the
They've been there for the last 2 weeks. Caught a couple both weekends and they're taking anything when fired up. Try shallow minnows and metals.
First light and sunrise is best and they seem to be disapearing about 7:30am when the sun gets to high.
I went for a quick flick early this morning and there was nothing around but apparently they fired up after i left and a couple were caught.
Get down there early because as the word spreads it will be shoulder to shoulder!

Probs give the entrance
Probs give the entrance groyne of the sailing/fishing boat harbour (think thats the one that is opposite south mole where you gotta walk most of the way down) might be less populated and have more of a chance at them before they spook. Ive heard they have been firing from coogee to cott. I seen a decent school busting up at quinns on sunday morning so there are plenty around.

Just got home now
I had a few hits and actually saw them in close smashing my lure. Freo area, one pass of birds overhead and there was the action for about 10 casts and then both birds and fish disappeared, seemed to synchronise with the swimmers arriving to do laps right in my firing line at the end of the groyne. Will be back tomorrow to land one.

Bright coloured divers
Bright coloured divers seemed to work well for us last weekend, yellows stood out for us, landed 8 on Sunday and my mate went Monday morning and landed 6!
