Took my brother out for a fish today after having him whinging at me for never taking him. Seen some commotion on the top water south of Rotto while on our way to a mark. So on went a deep diver and within 30 seconds the s-extreme was screaming. After a short fight up comes my bros first mack and biggest fish to date by far.

Noice! Mackies still around
Noice! Mackies still around at this time of year. Did you get the water temp? It must be down around the 19 deg mark?

.
Yeah was a surprise to see it come over the side. There was a fair few busting up around us, but once we hooked and landed this one we lost the school. I have caught sharkies and spanyids in the same area before but not mid year. Possibly mite be there new home.

I am, as I've said, merely competent. But in an age of incompetence, that makes me extraordinary.
