Mindarie

Headed out to Mindarie marina yesterday for a fish with Jesse . better than sitting at home .Took the light gear and some soft plastics and a few minnows and bibs. There was a large amount of weed floating throughout the marina, and a lot of tidel movment . We spent three hours throwing bibs and sp at all sorts of likely looking areas with no luck,a few small touches but no fish ,meet some nice people walking around ,in all a good way to spend the afternoon .

The weed can be an issue there unfortunately.

was fishing there with my crazy canadian brother in law the other weekend morning and we saw two massive sambos cruising along the front of the little wooden boardwalk running from "the boat" round to the right near where the houses start.

I used to fish mindarie

I used to fish mindarie marina ALOT back in my school days as it was a short bike ride. theres always sambos in there, ive managed to hook two of them on fairly heavy gear but got busted off within a couple of minutes both times. they seem to like the little rock wall near the "rich peoples houses". also around this time of the year there seems to be a fair few black bream hanging around the moored boats. i use to use unweighted prawns, but have found very lightly weighted plastics to work a treat aswell.
