minn kota or watersnake?

just wondering which electric motor is better because ive almost finished the front casting deck and im doing alot of river and freshwater fishing and i looking at a standard transom mount not the bow mount

I cant justify the additional cost
Got a JW watersnake on my boat. Fraction of the price of the kota and as yet cant see the difference between the two. I've heard about weak shafts etc, but gotta say I'm pretty brutal on my unit, its bow mounted, and never had an issue with it even though I've had it in shapes where I ws waiting for the "crack"
