 Tried some bottom fishing not much luck...water is quite cold...need to get some idea were to go...will try Denham side in a couple of days..

 nice cod . prob up there lots of water to go over . a lot of it there is the range you have in your tank as to where you can fish. plenty of whiting in the shallows

 Quick question...on Navonics the map shows some channels to the north west of Faura island ...is the 2nd channel the one in the middle?

 Best to fish the channels a half hour before the change of the tide till half hour after it changes otherwise the current is too strong 

Head up to Cape Peron, half mile north or east there is small bits of ground that produce good blackies and cod plus the mongrel catfish
