Bugger all weed at the moment. Has been blowing from the east for 3 weeks so all cleaned up (assuming your talking beach fishing). The recent rains at Mogumber have sent a lot of water down the river- is pretty full but water has stopped flowing down so i don't think the bar will break- but there is a chance it might.
I don't think so. Shit! There is fuck all water around. Do you guys go there a lot or understand that river system?
The sand up there is just like any other beach at the moment. Soft! The beach has been heavily eroded due to big tides and traffic. Check the tide times and do not try to get in or out of north of Guilderton Beach if there is a rising tide. That is of course if you decide to use the beach as your access/egress method and don't carry a swag.
You mind toning the language down a bit please Vince. One can understand using it when talking about a disco, but in this case its not really that necessary is it...
Uncut- I think you have absolutely no idea about that river system. The river runs through my farm upstream- the actual catchment for the Moore River is in the Mogumber-Moora region. There is some spring flow into the river system both from the water table upstream and also from the Gingin Brook. The main flow of water comes from the catchment further upstream. The recent rain from thunderstorms in the Mogumber -Moora area has seen the river around Bennies Rd go from about 10cm deep to well over 1.5m deep, and at a very fast flow.
So please in future before you mouth of at people- understand what the #@*# you are talking about.
You are a week prick "UncutT" Typical LR driver- Look good from then outside, but full of shit underneath. Adam if you are watching, check the PM's- don't expect me to pull slugs out of the bog in future. No more Blogs from me if you stick up for "Pricks" like that. I expect an apology- Very Dissapointed!
yeah didnt end going anyway, went to preston, got onto a few tailor biggest was 42cm, caught a whole heap of herring, they were in plague proportions there. Maybe caught about 80 of the little buggers, most of the tailor were undersize but did manage a few keepers.
That certainly had me in tears, and I still dont know why I am laughing. Sometimes it just makes me wonder how much woopla has flowed down the gobs off people that post up, because bloody hell it makes you laugh.
Perhaps we should start a "only talk fishing when you are dead pissed" thread and see what happens. Now that could be fun, but I dont think the modurators would like it.
You should give Moore river a try for Tailor Adamangler. As I have a place at seabird I go there through the summer and almost always bag out. Have pulled some crackers from that surf.
Hey sea-kem, just wondering is seabird a decent place to fish from the land? have heard of it but never been there, and i dont know much about the place, never hear any reports from there either...
Between Seabird and Guilderton there are heaps of reef ledges etc. 4WD country. I fish to the north of town for big skippy and herring. I've seen a 750mm tailor caught off the beach last year. One of the states best kept secrets.
yeah mate I will definately get up that way soon and flick a bait out, Im heading to cervantes over easter for a fish, then maybe after that I will finally get up there. I have heard stories about big sambos underneath that cervantes jetty, I just bought some 80lb braid and looking to get myself a good over head reel and see if I can land one of those bruisers for a quick pic and an excuse to celebrate with 1 or 10 beers! hahaha
