More of the same..
Hey fellas,
Well after scoring my PB Dhu last week I couldn't wait to get back out there and do it again and yesterday was the day, the weather/wind forecast was looking good and with the day off work I headed out.
I also took a couple of younger mates with me that had been itchin to get out and nail a Dhu on placcy...
The day started of rather slow with the HDS showing a few fish but not many were keen on eating a placcy...

About an hr or 2 into the session I scaled down my tackle from PE 4 - PE 2 to try and get a bite and not long after I nailed this 8kg Dhu..

Followed by young Mitch with a solid 4 - 5kg Dhu...his first on placcy.. While my other mate Terry hooks up in the background......

To this Sand Snapper/Morwong which made Terry piss on his 6kg Placcy outfit...

Next lump was alive with Pinkys and somehow my mate Terry gets a solid hit on the drop and pulls out this 7kg Dhu amongst the Pinks..

And to finish of the day I jigged up this 11-12kg Dhu banger on PE 2 which was an epic battle to keep him off the bottom in 40m... Happy Days.
All in all it was a awesome day after a slow start with a total of 4 Dhu fish, 5 Pink Snapper (60cm) and a Baldy I caught on a Sebile magic swimmer soft plastic that fell back in the water before I could get a photo.
Most fish were released with only the 2 biggest Dhu's kept for the boys.

It was great to get out before i left for uni mate. We picked the day too with strong wind warnings on the way.

Cheers guys, Heinz the plastics we used were a mix of Squidgy - 140mm Wrigglers and 145mm Flick Baits, Mcarthys 5 - 7inch, and Gulp 5 - 7 inch jerk shads rigged on 1 - 2oz 5/0 Nitro Jig Heads.

Yup, i was using 140mm Squidy Wrigglers with a 2oz jig head and landed the 5kg Dhu and a size Snapper. Terry caught his fish on gulps im pretty sure. We were fishing 50m of water so needed the larger heads. Im pretty sure the spool on your 3000 stella Lloyd is smaller than the 13kg Dhu's eye ball!

Awesome work guys im pretty jealous!!!! I should of stuck around Gero longer.. great work on your first Dhuie on placcys Mitch... your going to miss fishing like that down in perth :p

Cheers for the info Twitchemup, will be heading up to Cervantes this sunday hopefully, might have to give those placcy's a go, see if i can land a Dhu.
