Morning tailor
I went for a solo trip up Cervantes way on Friday afternoon, through some pretty ordinary weather. I've never been around the area before so I spent some time exploring and found some likely looking areas by the time the sun was going down. After finding a place to camp, I went in search of a mulloway. There was a lot of weed in the water which made me a little nervous, but I gave it a crack nonetheless. After 2 casts and about 20kg's of weed landed, followed by a heavy downpour catching me completely offguard, I thought it a good idea to retire for the evening, and try for some tailor in the morn.
As predicted, the weather shaped up nicely and I woke to a starry sky. After a coffee and quick feed I was down on the rocks, and the tailor were playing the game from the outset. Most were hooked just beyond the ledge about 6-7 m in front of me, some further out and a few bold fellas chasing the popper over the ledge into about 20cm of water, which was great fun. Most were around the 50cm mark, with the biggest at 56cm.

Cheers guys
Haha, yeah some foul hook-ups. Gotta love the way they attack the lures.
I was running a G-Loomis GL2 7.5 foot 12-25lb, with a Daiwa Advantage 4000 with 20lb
Bit on the heavier side, as I had to put a bit of hurt on early to get the fish over the ledge. Still got bricked up a few times though
