Gday all,
Are the mulies back in town ? I noiticed on the forum recntly that there has been quite a shortage but I have only been through to BCF in the last week and they were very small (u could call them big anchovies !).

They are starting to come
They are starting to come back into stores this week. generally the 2kg blocked mulies are good size - well, the ones we got at campbells last week where very nice size.

The mulie boat at Dunsborough is going out tonight to try it's luck so I'll keep you upto date on how they go. Good chance we'll have some bait for the salmon.

Plenty of Salmon.
There was plenty of salmon last year at the Yeagarup's and they were only taking mulies so there is a good chance they'll be back again. Whether they hit the west coast is another matter.

Mulies at Falcon
Called in to Totally Wild in Falcon this afternoon to buy some mulies and they had 2kg blocks of imported ones - these were the big mulies you normally buy...the other packets of smaller local mulies looked more like sardines. The guy in the shop said they were having trouble getting the bigger mulies.
I suppose they all work as bait and the fish don't care where the mulies come from
