Mundaring to York 4WD Trip

Well guys, since the weather has been aweful to get the boat out, we decided to hit the bush instead and took the Pajero up into the hills for a bit of a trek. Travelled in a convoy of three cars. Two of us were novices and one relatively experienced fellow up front showing us how its done.

The trip is not for the faint hearted as we were on some interesting angles and steep slopes at times but the DID Paj got us up and over without too many dramas. Bottommed out a few times and had my heart in my mouth a couple more but was great fun.

The most exciting part was being a passenger in the experienced vehicle on a particularly tricky section when we launched airborne and landed with the front right fender onto a rather large boulder at the top of a hill climb (BANG!) not a pretty sight, Ego's damaged more than the car though as it was in front of about 20 other 4bie drivers that we passed at this spot.

Here is the link to the track if anyone wants to give it a go.

Took us a full day to complete with lunch offroad and tea and scones in York. My mate has some pics so I will post up if I get a copy of anything descent.
