Well it must be nearly 2 months since i wet a line, I was sat in work on the net yesterday looking at the weather, and thought a SW at 15knots ish, 2.5m swell, but an outgoing tide as i wasnt going to get there till gone 5, but as the sun was setting i thought i might still have a chance of picking something up. Plus i wasnt on dog walking duty too, gf's turn.

So i rushed back from work, grabbed my gear and my 2 month old bait from the freezer which wasnt a good thing, all my mulies were useless, but i had some scaly macks so i used them.....

So i got to Hillarys aqwa just after 5 and set up my running sinker rig with a gang hooks and after starting on the mulies (which were old n soft n useless) i went over to fillets of scallies. after 20 mins, my rod was in the holder and as i was flicking my small rod around i saw my big rod bend, shit no drag taken, was set light too, then again, i was reeling in my small outfit quick as  i didnt want to leave it in the water as the waves were a bit rough, bollocks missed it,so i brought my rig in, it had stolen my fillet.

Anyway another half hour passed and i had two more takes but no hook ups, i was getting a little bit irritated at this point, i was thinking my hooks are too big, was about to change them to smaller hooks but put another fillet on and gave it another cast as i was feeling lazy, it was nearly dark now too.

As i sat on the rocks with rod in hand a couple minutes went by and tap tap on by rod, bang i struck and YES IM IN, good bend in my rod and taking my drag, hell yeah.... Guessing it as a tailor but my rod was pretty dam heavy and iot was pulling good n then bang out it jumped, yes a Tailor haha.... now then waves were coming in on the rocks below , so i had to be carefull not to lose it, managed to get it in the bucket all safe n well and woooooooo a 46cm Tailor from hillarys, sweet as, im a very happy man.

i get happy catching whiting n herring, so as you can imagine i was extremely happy as it was only my 3rd Tailor and my new PB.

So last 2 times i fished at aqwa, i targeted tailor and came up trumps, my 1st ever Tailor was taken there about the same conditions too, it went 28cm, then my 2nd was 32cm, and now a bigger at 46cm, so now i'm hoping that will be the trend for the next 1 too.
