Beat my previous record by a heap. Had scales that went to 22kg and it topped out at that. One happy camper :-)
He was released healthy to fight another day!

Nice fish!
best not to hang them by the neck if you plan to release them though.

Top job, but where is a photo of your lure :)
Looks like you needed new and higher reading scales from Santa. Perhaps a tripod and chain block to lift the next one. Thanks for sharing, not sure beating this one will happen quickly.
maybe beer can with trebles?

Great fish mate, well done.
Great fish mate, well done.
I agree with Till, not the best handling technique if your planning on releasing a fish.
Happy fishing! :)

Yeah I totally forgot about
Yeah I totally forgot about not hanging them in the excitement. Did get a few sit down shots though so was only up real quick and he swam away well after a minute of swimming him.
Just the normal red head lure, thought I had hooked the ground for a while !

Nice fish mate, would have gone bloody hard. Where was it taken?
When asked by a non-fisherman 'how many fishing rods do you really need?' the correct answer is either:
n+1 (where n is the number of fishing rods you currently own); or
n-1 (where n is the number of fishing rods which would cause your significant other to dump you.

funny story actually
funny story actually Pricey10
we were just flicking bait over some real shallow water about 2m and decided to go for a troll, Just started to let my lure out the back and the bloody thing bird nested and I figured I had snagged the ground. Sat there and pulled all the line out still thinking I had snagged it then started realing in and off she took. Bloody lucky more than anything, the lure would have been almost just sitting there!!! I will still take it however they come :-)
