Hi guys, I'm heading to Myalup for a week after Christmas, thinking about taking the dingy but not sure if there is any sort of reef or structure out from there or if it's just sand. Also would it be worth trying drop nets for crabs there.Any info would be appriciated. Cheers.

Hey Rubes, I used to have an on site caravan there and fished the beach a bit.
The beach line will be well cut up with heavy 4x4 useage this time of year so make sure you let you tyres down 12-15 psi. Make sure the entry point to the beach is clear and then hit it pretty hard as this is the spot most novices get bogged.
Early mornings are good for yellow fin anywhere just cast a few metres out and wind in slowly but stand 3-4 metres back from the shore line as you will spook them as they mostly hook up in the last few inches of water at your feet.
Tailor will hit the beach when the seabreeze is blowing best times around 4- 6pm
You would be better of crabbing down at Australind its only 20 minutes down the road.
good luck
