You should hit up one of the local tackle shops that fix and build rods. Bluewater in Melville is pretty damn good - check them out :)

Be warned though, its not cheap to get rods rebuilt. For sentimental value its most definately worth it, but if you're doing it just to save a few dollars...you wont.
Most rebuilds take more than a few hours from start to finish, plus time to dry the epoxy on a rotisory. So calculate that by a reasonable rate and you can see why they charge the price they do.

Call my main man Dave
Contact Dave on 0415252202. Last time I had a rod fully rebuilt it cost me $90 and he does a great job.

Second that..
Dave is in Success and even though I am north of the river its worth the drive - have had new rods made up and repairs done with Dave - all quality work at more than fair prices.

Tuckeys in Mandurah
For those based in Mandurah, Tuckeys is about the only one around.
I thoroughly recommend their work though, a good job done and price is very fair so never thought to go anywhere else.
