GT knot for me joining medium to heavy braid double to leader. For lighter stuff I'll do away with the double and use a albright to the leader.

i tried albright seems to be pretty strong instead of say 5 turns one way and 5 turns the other i do 7-8 turns and like 20+ turns on the other seems pretty solid to me.

7-8 turns one way  and then like 15-20 turns on the next one so need a decent amount of braid to start off with, was trying to modify the PR knot but apply it to albright.

Albright is the only knot i really use for braid to leader. Do it from fishing the 3mile to the sambos, never really failed me. I should really learn a few more though

I won't use the albright, I don't think its any better than the slim beauty in light gewar and I use the bimini+gt in PE3 and up.

the improved albright is stronger than some may think.

I just fished with a mate that uses a special albright when popping for G's. He landed some good fish on 15+kg drag without a knot busting.

All depends how it's tied IMO.

Though, it gets pretty bulky in heavier lines.

i always use the double uni.

i always use the double uni. not just because its the only one i know but i have rarely busted off at the point of the knot. once i got it worked out properly i havnt had a bust off at the not, even landed 100 kg plus sharks using 50lb braid to 100 lb leader
