i need some suggestions on a new reel, my price range is up to around $500 and i need something thats a 4000 size shimano or 3000 daiwa (there about equal right?) ill be putting pe2 on it and need something that looks good, feels good and peforms good. Ill be using it for basically everything, throwing baits out, spinning lures, bottom bashing and light jigging so i need something that wont break down on me. im currently using a stradic 4000fi but want to upgrade to something a bit better.
i was thinking of the new certate or fireblood or even the older stella but not sure, any advice will be great.

New Certate looks pretty good otherwise the Twinpower SW.
Does anyone know where the love of god goes, when the waves turn the minutes to hours?

I'd go new certate. Very happy with it. Should fit 300m of PE2 if you dont use any backing (or some 20lb's with a few wraps of backing depending on the braid).

How does it feel plasticy?
How does it feel plasticy? I reckon they are pretty solid and very smooth, the twinpower 4000FC is pretty nice for the price too though. I wouldn't get a fireblood though, overpriced and no where near as tough as certate/twinpower.

Hi Daniel I had a feel of a new Certate the other day
and while it felt reasionably smooth, I thought the body was a bit flimsy. But that is just my opinion.

Agree with the above
and maybe audition a low cost brawler like the Sol 3000 or if you are feeling adventerous you could import a Bradia 3000.
Would leave some change in your pocket for line, handle upgrade etc.

Bradia is awesome, I have a 2500R and 3500/4000, it is too slow for spinning but its good for jigging or plastics.
