looking at buying a new boat soon. whats better ally or fibreglass. saw 6m haines fibreglass looked pretty sweet or a caroline or genusis alloy. i know alloy is lighter but a bit rougher through the water

depends on what you want to
depends on what you want to do with your boat and what price you want to spend personally i like the carolines as i do alot of diving and head up north during the year so it easy to tow a ally and i have never really been on fibreglass but the ride is suppose to be smoother the carolines have good acess at the back for divers that is why i like them and 750 hard top is my dream boat

Comfort
Glass...in my opinion as I like the smoother ride over ally's, I know there can be exceptions but generally speaking. there's more choice out there with ally's espescially on the smaller models but better finishes with glass, as for wheight when you start geting into the bigger ally's not much between them and ally. and as there's not a lot of smaller glass boats around compared with ally then the cost is higher....generaly. one of the reasons I dont like ally is the cold feel and the clanginess of metal, But each to his own. And if you look at getting into a haines fiberglass you wont go wrong they are a classy act although pricy.
To all the virgins..............Thanks for nothing!

F/G
I like ali boats for there custom aspect but my bones disagree with them so F/G is my preference (for comfort)........the Haines are a great boat!
