I think that might be LBS not KG ,,i thought they were around 36 kg but could be wrong.
I personally would adapt a small trailer myself to make life easier.
What i like is you have the stability to stand up and sight cast for Bream or whatever.
I heard the figure of around $3500 in the past bandied around,,Albee will know the price for sure
On Edit > 39.9 kg is the hull weight which is what yakkers take notice off because you have to manhandle kayaks,,you can load them up at the waters edge so fully rigged weight not so important to some,,and some people load everything plus the kitchen sink so fully rigged weight will be different for each person,,i see it has Turbo fins which will push it along pretty quick.
Retail is around $3300 ish, and they weigh empty about 40kg. They have rubber skids at one end, the idea being one end goes on the roof, the other sits on the ground, and then the other end goes up.
They have standing platformns in front of the seat, and are designed with a tunnel hull rear end for extra stability. Electric motors are a goer, and most likely small petrol donks too.
Yet to see what the bluewater capabilities are like, will be slower than the Adventures like my current yak, but will have one in my hands to put thru its paces soon enough. Certainly stability wont be an issue, and storage is awesome, with under rail storage for up to 6 fully rigged rods inpurpose built rod racks. The front hatch has a fiberglass removeable well for fish storage. They come standard with the Turbo Fins also!
We will be having a Hobie Test day on Sunday the 14th at Matilda Bay boat ramp with a few of these bad boys for anyone interested in having a look or pedal. The demand is already high, and i would expect them to sell pretty well.

Looks like a Prado
without the wheels - that is a pretty impressive Yak - it may tempt a few more into yakking.

How heavy are they Brett?
Will it be easy enough to load onto roof racks for one person, or will you need a different system, ie a trailer?
