new jigging spinner

looking at replacing the stradic 4000 on the light jig stick

could be swayed to try daiwa. would the equivalent daiwa size be a 3000??

are the bradia's any good????

don't want to spend more than around 350 .

Daiwa 3500 and 4000 are the same apart from spool. The 3000 is noticably smaller than a 3500.I used a certate 3000 for my light jigging with 20lb.Its good reel had a issue with the rotor though, but daiwa gave me a whole new reel so all good.

Drill out the old one

Sat, 2010-12-25 13:05

Drill out the old one, anglers spot willeton sells it last time i was there, there are better ones with 2 bearings on ebay for around the same price as the ones with no bearing locally, under $30.

Dawai soll 4000

Sat, 2010-12-25 16:47

I have the sol 4000 with 40 lb sensor on my hearty rise and is very well ballanced and by going to the 4000 I was able to get the two spools as well as the 4000 is made in Japan and the 300o isn't and only comes with one spool.  was around the 300-350 mark

The Daiwa Sol handle is ok in

Sat, 2010-12-25 18:35

The Daiwa Sol handle is ok in smaller sizes but there is no way I'd rate it for 30lb much less 40lb. It has too much flex in it for anything more than 20lb. make sure you don't buy a Daiwa with the same handle as the Sol, you do up a screw on the opposite side, and it winds the handle out.

The Bradia folder is fine, I wouldn't even buy the pimp handle if you had that.
