For diehard fishing guys only [MY A**] To all the guys that left to go home to there nice warm beds, And a big thankyou to john for pulling out all the weed
We hit the swags early so to get away from the sand blowing But it still found its way into our swags bigtime
Around two am the weed moved out to sea And the fish went on the bite, We lost so many that dropped hooks but still have a great morning on bait and lures
Bucket full of tailor [ Not large but great size for steeppoint for mackie at the end of this month] herring And a nice big flathead
Five 4x4 went home [ Big girls] And left two behind ------Sid his son ----Myself and george

Lots of Weed
John landed some very big clumps of weed!
We could not throw any decent baits due to the amount of weed in the water, it was totally unfishable.

The biggest weed estimate
The biggest Weed Clump estimate around 10kg - measured 91cm, with witnesses - and was quite the fight. I was spinning with me T24/400 & Trinidad 30 with a 1.2mm leader. The moment she took my hook I realised by the colour that it was the common golden brown Weed Clump. She gave me a run or two; then as she came closer to shore she started with some good headshakes, but I was patient and got her onto dry land in 10min. Took out me knife and stabbed her 7 times, then got my wooden baton and hit her over the head 7 times. It is important to hit the Weed Clump 7 times. Cut my line and left the hooks in just in case she did;nt survive, pulled her further up to beach to make sure she does not!
All in all - awesome fight!
