New Member introduction..
Gday All, been hanging around here enough for last couple of weeks, thought I better post and introduce myself.
Live and fish out of Karratha way so pretty lucky there. Boat wise I'm just downsizing from a 23ft Key West to a 615 Bar Crusher side console that should be ready in next few weeks - decided I need something for both creeks / mid range off shore that I can easily put in myself.
Picked up some pretty good tips already from posters here so looking forward to contributing a bit more. Pretty good bunch of people in general WA fishos.
Lastly, in the interest of disclosure I thought I'd better warn everyone that Ive got crabs (caught a couple of weeks back).. Apparently theres shampoo or something that can get rid of them but these are a bit bigger than normal... :)
Finally worked out how to add a photo so I'll put some warning shots up so you know what to look for..
Cheers.

Best way to get rid of crabs.
Pour whole bottle of rum on crab infestation
Rub in big handfull of sand
Crabs will get pissed and throw rocks at each other until dead....:)

Thanks guys! Yep that was a big guy at the front, I actually checked the smallest one in the photo for size twice as it just looked small, but it was still over 150mm. Would have been a lot better if the Tiger Sharks would bugger off and find something better to do than ruin nets, steal baits and pinch crabs... Still half a dozen big ones plenty for a good feed.
Sure gets the blood flowing pulling up a net with a Tiger still in it, or one following up the net. Most are around the same size 2m plus so not big but still teethy critters all the same.
Crabs won't be back in numbers until next year now, plenty of other targets over summer to catch.
Cheers.

Well done with the crabs
That's a very good feed you have there, I must say it's been a long time since I've see crabs with so much heavy growth on them. Not that it matters they still taste damn good.

Yes - Welcome as well to the Site. I'm with you Meglodon(I'm missing the crabs). I really hope the "so called Experts" open Cockburn Sound this year for crabbing.
Been a long six years for a closure!

Thanks for the welcome, and
Thanks for the welcome, and more than likely run into a couple of the local fellas - its a small world up this way. Currently have a 23ft Key West walkaround but thats going shortly and a Bar Crusher side console is underway. Bit more creek action this summer I think.
Cheers,
Disco.

Cheers for that Kuz, look forward to sharing a few fishing tales and tips in the future, pretty sure it doesnt really get much better than what WA has to offer as a fishing and boating enthusiast..
We are pretty lucky in general.
