Plenty more out there.....come along in November and share the carnage...you'll never forget it and it's will change the way you look at fishing forever...once in a lifetime. Places like this are few and far between and sadly will probably be gone in our lifetime...International waters.....longliners, deep trawl ships...it's still a bit far out for them...but it won't take long

I wish I could but my work picks up in summer , and I decky on a jigging charter on my days off and the Samson fish are schooling over here in November , so I'll be jigging Sambo's then , thanks for the invite , one day I might just turn up tho .
Why have a 25 grand master card if you don't hammer it every now and then .

Some great fish there Sean. Must be a great feeling feeding the lures out when you finally reach the Coral Sea destination.
What type of depths do you commonly fish out there, or is it more trolling reef dropoffs etc?
WA based manufacturer and supplier of premium leadhead jigs, fligs, bucktail jigs, 'bulletproof' soft plastic jig heads and XOS bullet jig heads.

The trip out to the reefs(especially the outer ones like fredericks and kenn can take 20hrs steaming from the port of Gladstone.
Once you hit open water the lures go out and are trolled all the way. Out past the Great Barrier Reef anf the Continental Shelf the water drops away to 2000m+. Sometimes it can be quiet...but often it's regular hook ups on mainly billfish. When u reach the reefs, that's when the websters come into their own....trolling drop offs is very productive, as is deep jigging....fishing the lagoons is also very cool..I've seen I guy catch a 30kg GT in 5m of water inside the lagoon at low tide on a popper(heavy, heavy gear). If you use berley, it just goes off...red bass, coral trout, GT's, bluefin trevally, Green Jobfish....holy crap...I want to go right now

Actually it is better than nice, some hot fishing action for sure. Wish I was over there. I will be in Qld early November on business but not sure if I can stretch the stay to get out on the coral sea. Need to do a lot of convincing of the war office before that would happen, but certainly looks the goods in terms of value for money.
How often do you go out? Is it your boat or are you crew or just a regular guest on board?

Seansurfy we've got a 4.3m Twin Fisher and I think they're great boats. It's small enough to fish the rivers but can handle pretty rough seas for it's size if we want to go offshore.

I know what you mean about getting home office approval...lot's of brownie points required. It would be fantastic if you could make it.
I'm a client on this trip. I've been out 4 separate times..two 7 day trips and two 10 day trips. I try and go on one of these trips at least once a year. I've been on a couple of different boats, but this is the best in terms of product and value for money.

They are a great bunch of guys who take the fishing seriously, but not themselves...if you know what I mean.
The ten day trips suit me better as it gives you more time to explore and really suss out what's working and what's not. I also don't get to wet a line as often as I would like due to work and family, so this is my big fishing fix for the year. The guys at http://www.kanimblacharters.net.au/index.php

I tried for 2 years to get on one of these charters, really hard because they don't take individual bookings...you have to take the whole boat. It's a great opportunity for keen fishos to test themselves.
Hopefully the weather gods will play the game and give us smooth seas and screaming reels. I'm based in NZ at the moment...here's a pic of a 16kg kingy I picked up in The Bay of Islands last month.
