Newbie to Spearing

Ihave recently bought all the spearfishing gear and have been out a couple of times to no avail. Was wondering if someone wanted to do either a convoy or deckie it up to do a bit of spearing? Would love the experience to go out with someone with a bit of experience under the belt. I launch at woodies point but can travel anywhere.

Cheers

Damon.

...a couple of reasons, safety, also will help with a bit of advice and they usually have a dive co-ordinator to arrange people in a boat, and if you are lucky they MIGHT even give away a couple of spots

I belong to WAUC, good bunch of people, and the club even does training on Mondays and Wednesdays.

and always remember to dive with a buddy, to help with black-out, and to help look for sharks

Spoke to a guy there once

Spoke to a guy there once and he said he was From living waters. Camo wetsuits in a 24 degree indoor pool doesn't look that informal. Is the chick with dreadies at wauc?

from 7:30, with a nice lady, Jaz, she's done a lot of freediving and knows her stuff and you will learn a lot, just listen to her and pay attention as her #1 agenda is safety.

It is informal, just use the suits as it does get a bit cold in the water after being in it for a couple of hours

Hey guys i am wanting to start spearfishing and have some questions to ask. Is there any spearfishing guns to recommend? Whats the difference between air and rail guns? What equipment do i also require to go spearfishing. Do i need a license.
