a night on the beach

hey guys and girls . who can tell me what sort of wind directions and speeds i should be looking for ,for it to be deemed a plesant night on the beach ie; to not be blown off the beach ,and my mulie rig washed up after 30 seconds after casting any advice taken onboard CHEERS;

Ideally..
If the breeze is from the West/SW (onshore) less than 15knots would be comfortable.Any thing out of the east is nice because you can set up a a worthwhile burley trail.

Weed is the biggest thing
Weed is the biggest thing that you have to worry about. I generally don't worry about the wind especially if i'am doing an all nighter. I often fish winds above 25knots and just adjust my sinkers according to the conditions, if it's blowing hard i normaly use a 6oz star sinker and i reduce the weight as the wind drops. I prefer a 15/25knot SW on dusk as it seems to stir the fish up a bit, especially tailor and mulloway.

It also depends on where you are fishing
At some of the beaches in the metro area you may have a little protection from a the south westers, so you can fish in conditions between 15 and 20 ok.
Buyt te south westers are definately the go for tailor fishing.
