*******NOR comp POSTPONED to 23rd JUNE*******

After reviewing the weather forcasts and discussing the possibility of a start with entrants from both North and South it has been decided to postpone the event for a week.

20knot easterlies in the morning only easing to 15knots in the late afternoon are conditions that are not particularly enjoyable from experience. We also have a number of smaller boats that would not be safe to venture far from shore in such conditions. So in the interests of safety and to ensure the day is as fun as we can make it we have postponed.

Apologies to those wishing for a green light this weekend, hopefully you can still make it the following week (or if its postponed again, the week after)

Tim will post a separate NOR comp registration thread shortly so we can see who will be available next week 23rd June.

If the weather does a U turn and looks good on Saturday you can obviosly still go fishing, it just won't count towards the comp.

Yes we were not happy at all about postphoning the comp yet again, but the idea is that it is a fun event for all to enjoy and the with the way the weather looks, it just wouldnt be that much fun.

Mon, 2007-06-18 14:30

If you didnt go out....you were smart
conditions off Hillarys was very ordinary at day break.....that easterly was a dog....making drifting or holding anchor impossible.

ended up with a few skips......and very wet n' Cold
