North and South mole newbie

I have never fished there but have heard so much. Any info appreciated. Id like to catch some herring and decent tailor.
Whats biting at the moment?
What kind of gear is appropriate?
Will it be crowded on a Saturday?

That place is always crowded - the last time down that way i was using 2 4/0 linked hooks with half a mulie.
just baitcasting - pulled in literally 60+ tailor in the low 30's
Good luck trying to get a spot and getting tangled with the clowns!
