Not fishing, but i have to say , Black Sabbath you still rock, 40 years since you played in Perth and my neck is sore from head banging + I havn't seen that many DB's and black T-shirts since the old day's back in Balga watching Rose Tattoo , the Angles and the Jet's.
Sorry , i know this is not about fishing or football. But Who do you remember playing at a local pub when you were young ? Ive seen quite a few big bands who wern't so big at the time, and a few comedians like Rodney Rude at the Sundowner Hotel. (that was awsome )
Please share an experience with us from the past . ( young or old )
Cheers Grant ..

Break away
Breakaway used to be a Perth band who would visit Bunbury's Bussell hotel about each 6 weekly intervals and it would be standing room only. There specialty was the Monster Mash complete with the fake smokes etc.

Was too slow to get tickets
Was too slow to get tickets for it, even though it was announced a while ago.
Have not seen a great deal of gigs myself though caught AC/DC in Adelaide couple of years back. Not bad for a bunch of geriatrics. Saw Queens of the Stone Age when they came here in 2003? The sweet smell of weed was everywhere, Nick Olivera got naked on stage (eek!) and I was totally and utterly deaf. You could've gotten in my face and screamed at me with a megaphone, I wouldn't have heard a thing.

Shit yes - was an awesome gig.
Ozzy was great.
I liked how he'd leave his mic stand and take a short walk - then hurry back to the mic stand to hold himself up again. Haha
and THAT drum solo ...... Fark yes !

Yeah
Yeah i think he threw his back out from all the headbanging. lol .
For a bunch of 60 year olds they still sounded great . I think the drummer used to play with Rage against the machine. ? He did an awsome job .

Have seen Metallica twice
Have seen Metallica twice now, just recently at Soundwave and they are also solid. Didn't get to Black Sabbath but my son went and reckons it was a great concert and the venue was awesome. Apparently Shihad were pretty good as well.
