Cannot tell me the FFA did not know about it for three years. These clubs need to submit their financials each year.  The way the clubs are regulated it astounds  me that they "delayed" investigation until now.

Didn't the Essendon football club just go through a witch hunt lasting 2 odd years with an end result that has been nothing but a great fiasco.

I think we should all wait until the evidence has been put to the test before we go all out to hang clubs.

There are a lot of people putting their assets into other peoples names as a result of the bombers fiasco and with damn good reason.

these sort of salary cap breaches are NEVER just that the total salary paid is over the cap unless they have the stupidist friggin paymaster in history.

It is always to do with what is deemed part of the salary, as in a club sponsor gives a "valued player" a job on the side-which involves sitting at home scratching his bum or providing "marketing advice" etc.

Then its open to interpretation by the Head Honchos whether its a genuine job or just a way to sweeten the deal attracting a big name player.
