Ocean Reef Marina - New jetties

City of Joondalup have today started replacing the jetties at Ocean Reef marina with floating jetties. I have been advised that the northen half of the ramps have been closed of for the work to begin. Work is expected to take a couple of months.
You may want to reconsider where you launch from during this time as there will be delays.

Good to hear, it is well overdue, they are falling apart.
Would be nice if they started the construction of the new marina there but I think I am running out of years to see that happen.........

Great to hear and would be great to see some progress on the marina development. Surely the majority are in favour of it, is this a failure of the local government?

New Marina
I have been on the consultative committee at the City of Joondalup for 8 years with minimal progress. The project is too big and will cost over $1 Billion dollars and no one is will to spend that amount of money. (Except the government as long as it ishe CBD). We aksed the government to take it over but they are not interested.
The redevelopment of the marina has been talked about for the last 30 years so don't expect anything to happen in our lifetime.
