Yeah i saw the pic of that 135cm one aswell(on NT fishing Forum), it was monsterous, something fro the age of the dinosaurs i think hahahaha.
We saw a 124cm caught by another boat fishing near us. Was awesome to see such a huge fish jumping completely out of the water in such a tight creek! Very nerve racking time for the angler that caught it though with all the mangroves.
Yeah definitly a river of Big Barra, but also a river of BIG travelling distances. Think it holds good numbers of Barra for this reason, it doesnt get hit as hard as the ones closer to Darwin and from what i have read it was closed to commercial gill netters a while ago, so pure line fishers!!!!!

Nice
Nice work mate.
Saw pics of a 1.35m fish taken at the Roper just before easter. Definitely a big fish river by the sounds of it.

Nice barra
Pity about the 2cm, but who is going to complain about a 98cm specimen.
Looking forward to the full story and more pics.

Cracker fish mate -
Cracker fish mate - particularly on 6lb!
When asked by a non-fisherman 'how many fishing rods do you really need?' the correct answer is either:
n+1 (where n is the number of fishing rods you currently own); or
n-1 (where n is the number of fishing rods which would cause your significant other to dump you.
