Ron Boucher
Had a huge laugh about 6 months ago with Big Ron - he came to collect a ram that had been misbehaving from my place . Big Ron waited patiently while the 2 guys there tried to catch and load the reluctant ram into the trailer... Eventually he lost patience, and launched himself, tackle style onto the animal, which went down like a sack of spuds, with an audible 'ooffff' sound... The ram then meekly got up and into the trailer.
Needless to say, Ron is a lot larger now than in his footy days... I wouldn't like him to tackle me!
Save the Whales! May as well - they won't fit in my catch bag!!!

I went to some training sessions at Swans
years ago explaining rugby tackle tactics compared with footy. He was a formidable looking unit THEN.

Dont see Mal Brown's name
Dont see Mal Brown's name mentioned....Campbell Brown wouldn't get a game these days...oh wait he doesnt lol. Dont forget Dipper as well, Carl Ditterich, Gary Ayres, an endless list.
Mad Dog Muir, that guy was just a total nutcase lol...trying to take on the entire crowd at a SANFL match one day after a typical Muir effort, decking his team mate and runner in the process....definately some underlying issues that made him snap so violently.

As was Billy Picken, I went
As was Billy Picken, I went over to Vic with South Fremantle when we played Collingwood in an Escort Cup match, and the guys who played said Billy was a total nut bag, was continually talking to himself. As he was away to tackle you, you could hear him say " here comes Billy". And as for Big Ron, I had a run in with him and I played with Basil Campbell, and Mal Brown was our coach.
cheers
