Online Marine Charts?

Hey guys,

Is there anywhere on the net that allows you to view charts of an area?

I would just like to look at contour lines and distances without sitting infront of my gps or having to buy several paper charts at $35 a pop.

I'm a bit confused are you saying your memory map dosent have the dpi charts?

Dont take this the wrong way but I presume you know how to zoom in to a more detailed view not just to zoom I appologise if you think I'm being sacastic I'm not It's just that some people dont understand they're plotters fully.

Have you looked at it on the dpi chart...and where do you think all electronic chart makers get their information from...the dpi and ahs chart makers. I'll try and get access to Navionics and look though.

quote from memory map marine

Memory-Map has precisely
calibrated AHS, MSQ and DPI charts and published them
in regional DVD packs.

so mm doesn't show the dpi chart , but it does show their redraw of it, which i guarantee isn't as detailed

i'm in mullaloo. come round and i'll show you. and yes , i do know how to zoom in. Wink

Thats strange

Because the charts on mine are exact digital facsimilies of my paper charts Im presuming you have unlocked all your charts, to zoom in just right click on your chart and select your zoom or you cam zoom to a larger or smaller scale, I'll try to attach a screen shot of mine if not I beleive I can email a shot, give me a while I'll see what i can do.

I must be a bit deslisic! I thought you said you DONT know how to zoom!
Sorry I'm down near rockingham nowhere near Mullaloo but like I said try zooming to a differnt scale cos as I said I have checked mine with my paper charts and no difference at all!
Oh and they are'nt redraws they're exact digital images just in a different file type to suit MM I even have the dpi charts on cd from DPI and absolutely no difference.
