Stessco catcher deluxe 445.

Is that the one you mean?  The 445 seems same price as the 420 though?

New? Second hand? From the site it appears they are the same price, so not sure why you wouldnt go a 445 in that case (but not all need that big). The link is there direct site so you can call them to get prices on each one (just nominate a motor). Will give you the starting point at least.

As for the specific models, not sure, but I have a similar tinny to the 420 which gets me a fair few places, and would be good for the river/sound/5 fathom/inshore areas, etc. I got mine secondhand though.

if thats the one your after, upgarde to atleast a 30hp. My 4.2 is lighter than those boats and i know i would have been disappointed if i had of settled for a 25hp.  Even with a 30 still wish i had a little more top end power.

Comes with a 25hp for a little over $10,000. Can up grade to a 30hp for $320 or a 40hp for about $800.

Really dont want a bigger boat, I need to be able to store it & haven't got much room.

After looking on Gumtree & stuff they seem pretty cheap. Just dont wanna buy a pig!!

Neighbour over the road is trading in this

one 4.4mtr with all the fruit including a current 50HP Yamaha, centre console, fully decked out, traveling custom made cover, etc.etc. very shortly.

You would be able to get it easily for what you want to spend and all the fitouts have been done incl. radios, bimini etc etc, all the things that add up

Seems it could suit your wishes well.

I have no interest in this boat but he is my neighbour

hi fisherking........it is

hi fisherking........it is always daunting buying a boat and most of us have been at where you are now. firstly look at the boat, is it going to meet all your needs if so then that decision is made. A 3mm hull in a tinny is a good start. Think also about the cost of add ons ie; canopy $500, basic sounder $300 - 400, nav lights (removable) $50, seats etc etc.....

The heart of any boat is the motor. the motor on the back of that tinny looks like the yamaha CV25, cv meaning citizen value. there is little difference between that and the 30hp...they are the same motor. the CV is a no frills 2 stroke, mix your own fuel motor but is also very reliable and can be electric and pull start. Either motor will push the boat along well and a 40hp would make it fly.

If you are set on a tinny i would talk to the site sponsors and the reputable dealers to see what they have on offer in perhaps a near new or little used second hand rig where all the setup cost has been met by the previous owner will be a better option? I am sure your dream is waiting for you out there. good luck on your final decision.

Thanks PJAY.All worth

Thanks PJAY.

All worth considering, although I am able to do the extras myself, it still incures added costs. My only worry  buying a 2nd hand is the motor, ( I have been burned before). As mentioned before it seems a good package with a 3yr warranty on the motor. I think it's that peace of mind that attracts me to a new package.

Dean.
