Organising your tackle.

Hey guys just wondering how you guys organise yourself when heading out on the boat or landbased?
I dont like storing hooks in tackleboxes, i find that they rust up pretty quick so I just leave them in the original packets and chuck them a sandwich bag full... Not easy to find what your looking for tho!
Can anyone recommend and tackle bags two fit a couple of boxes and some jigs / poppers or a method that works for you organising your tackle? e.g squid jigs, hooks , poppers etc etc?
cheers, Brad

Lunch Box and Snap Log Bags
G'Day Brad
Yes, I prefer to leave hooks, swivels etc in their original containers so you know exactly what you have, what needs replacing and what you are using.
As for rigs. From a boat, I'm either bottom bouncing, free baiting or trolling and I don't like wasting time setting up rigs out on the water, especially when there's action occurring.
I use a clear lunch box full of zip lock (glad or something similar) bags and have my rigs all made up. Then if you get a bust off, bite off, or whatever, it's simply a matter of pulling out another rig.
I check my rigs at the end of ech session (and sometimes after even each drop if the bottom is hard on the mono traces) and replace them as necessary.

I have a shimano bag
It comes with 5 trays and has a heap of pockets. Yeh sandwich bags work, instead of the lunch box though I found a neoprene pencil case. As for hooks in tackle boxes rusting. I put a bit of singer sewing machine oil in the slots..

Tackle box
I have a tackle box that has draws in and keep all terminal tackle in the draws spray draws with cooking spray and have not had problem with rusting of tackle . Rigs i have 2 zip close rig cases (look like cd carry case) that have 10 zip lock bags inside each one that you just grab a rig when needed.Rig case brought from BCF at about $8 each.
Just takes time to pre-set up before heading offshore in boat ( couple of beers whilst sitting in sun setting up)
Saves time when fish come on the bite.

Cut up pool noodles I make up all my rigs and then
wrap them around pool noodles cut to size to fit whatever tackle bag or box I am using.
I have a tackle bag for beach fishing, one for rock and marina fishing, one for river fishing and one for boat fishing.
I make up a range of rigs for each of those situations and then store them on the cut up pool noodle.
You cam store upwards of 1/2 a dozen on each noodle portion. It keeps them neat and tidy and once I arrive at the spot and need to rig up it is simply a matter of unwinding it from the noodle and attaching the rig to my leader.

Softbags!
I agree with Barneyboy, the Shimano soft tackle bags are great, versitile and well priced....a few different sizes also!
I use soft tackle bags and use the press sealed bags also/inside the softbag for other bits-n-pieces!
