Went down the beach for a quick fish last night and the Mrs caught a nice 70cm+ Mulloway and all I got was a bloody Wobbegong!
About time she starts baiting her own hooks I reckon.....LOL

Yep mine sits on the boat with the rod in one hand and a
glass of champaigne in the other and wont shut up talking. I just keep saying "aha....aha" to her while Im there feeling for bites, checking bait etc then she'll say something like " oh no think ive got a snag" and up comes a bloody big dhuie that I gotta land, then rebait her hook. Sometimes I think we just try too hard

I can relate to all the above, the latest was a double header of Dhuies, then to my horror she brought a bannana out of her bag, all we got after that was NW Blowies (bag check at the ramp now)

Wobby
The easy way to get the skin off a wobby is to cut from the inside of the skin. Make a hole then slide the knife in under where you want to cut then slice up through the skin, that way you are now sawing your way in and taking the edge off the knife.

my wife always hooks a big one while im getting a beer or going for a tiddle. I only ask her to watch the rod for a few seconds, then BOOM fish on. there is something in this I recon
