Overlander Budgies fall dead out of sky

I was at Overlander Road House on Saturday. 46 degrees and Budgies were falling out of the sky dying. we gave some some water which seemed to help but there were thousands. It didn't help that the dam behind Overlander was dry. I took a few picks which I will post. Very sad but it probably happens in nature?
