Pemberton water levels

Hi all I'm planning my semi-regular Pemberton trip with my teenage son soon. We normally go late September but our last trip 2 years ago the water levels were way too high for most spots we fish. Anyone know what they're like at the moment? I may leave it for another few weeks and see then.

Appreciate advice as it's hard to find the time for a trip at the moment so I want to try and get it right. Spending quality time with my boy is reward enough but a few fish doesn't hurt! We mainly target trout for catch and release but a few reddies to eat are always welcome.

Cheers

I went down last wednesday ( 26th sept) and found the level up very high and flowing quick , only got a couple of reddies ( hard work) , i get on the warren quite often , would have dropped a bit by now though.

Drove through Pemby this arvo and all the creeks/dams are pretty high at the moment and it’s still raining. Would’ve called this year as having a higher water table for this time of year than the last few.

Got back Sunday arvo. Water levels not over the top. Water flowing ( not out of control) just nice, clarity of water very good. I only done Donnelly ( near Donnelly lakes) heart break crossing area and leafroy. Couldn't do to much due to my leg being in brace. Plenty of concrete trout ,also upper Donnelly had real trout.

Sounds pretty good. I think I'll head down later this month then. We always have a lot of fun regardless!
