I was up there in July. The tracks were pretty good overall but I would say towing a tinnie anywhere from Cattle Well to Bottle Bay would be pretty rough on the trailer, i'd be making sure you have a decent tow ball connection going through there.

I wouldn't bother going into cattle Well as the sand was very soft on the beach with little where else to go.

I liked South Gregories the best followed by Bottle Bay, however Big Lagoon looked best for launching and easy to access with the tinnie in tow. All of these spot had top notch camping faclities (BBQ's, toilets ect.)

If you get a nice day I don't think it would take too long to find a weed patch for squid. In saying that you could just about guarantee squid from the jetty in town (denham).

Make sure your trailer is in good nick.

But you shouldn't have a problem with a decent 4wd. South Gregories has some good weed banks for chasing squid in close. We've done really well there at times then at other times found them very hard to come by. You should be able to find some good bombies out a little further that produce good catches of Pinkies and other bits and pieces.

Great spot up there. Enjoy
