Pickled cray

Hi all found some good recipes in the search for this site but was wondering what ppl prefer to do with the cray when putting in jar with pickle mix ie raw as opposed to cooked or semi cooked hot liquid v cold or warm any advice thanks in advance

my fav.
is tea spoon salt- pepper-bay leaf - small quantity of sugar -chilli flakes strait vinegar bring to boil turn off , cut 3 crays into bite size pieces blanch in boiling water for1- 2 minutes put in a jar, table spoon of veg oil ready to eat within 2 days .most days breakfast or lunch for me

Claymore's pickled herring recipe...
...he's a member here, look it up. I half boiled the crays first. Oh, it also works good on herring!
